Dr. Tamás Gerencsér Dentist in Sopron

I received my diploma in 1987 at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Szeged. Since 1990, I have been working in Sopron where I started my career at Hungary’s first and largest foreign-owned dental company. I started my own practice in 2005. Over my 32+ years in the practice, I have treated patients mainly from Austria, Switzerland and Germany. I regularly make an effort to develop and enhance my skills: I attend international dental congresses and between 2003 and 2005 I took part in a training as a medical economist and health manager at the Faculty of Economics of the University of West Hungary. Between 2005 and 2007 I obtained the degree „Master of Oral Medicine in Implantology“ at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster.

My past, present and future, my hobbies and my passions all center around dentistry. My overarching goal is the long-term satisfaction of patients when I look for solutions to their problems. In particular, I focus on those procedures that are carried out by a few colleagues in Hungary. I am constantly trying to expand my knowledge – this can only be achieved through lifelong continuous self-education.

I firmly believe dentistry is not just about teeth, but about the people. I know many people often feel tense, nervous, and uncomfortable in a dentist’s chair. For this very reason, I strive to create a relaxed atmosphere from the minute my patient walks in the door; treatment should be painless and conducted in an excellently equipped office like my practice is. It is important to find the best solution to my patient’s problems. This requires constant learning and new knowledge; I must discover better and newer tools and techniques, apply them with confidence, and hone my preparation with my own experience. Because knowledge really evolves with the continuous introduction of new things and gaining experience.

I have gained funding from the European Union several times for enhancing my clinic; thanks to this and the constant development of technology and machines, I use the most modern diagnostic devices and procedures. The clinic has the latest hard and soft tissue laser devices. My practice – consisting of two independent treatment rooms, equipped with 3D computer tomography and digital X-ray, CAD/CAM computer technology and a milling machine (which can be used to produce dentures almost immediately) – is now a world-class example for dental treatment.
